Short film program: Believe

The AFRIKAMERA SHORTS – BELIEVE program places a focus on short and medium-length films that grapple with the phenomena of spirituality and the supernatural, including KATOPE (Tanzania 2023) by Walt Mzengi Corey. The gripping fantasy drama tells the story of a young girl who is born at the beginning of the dry season and sets off on a dangerous journey with a mysterious rain bird in order to end the devastating drought afflicting her community.
